add-apt-repository: command not found

Hi everyone,
Just started using Netrunner Enigma - delighted with it. Migrated from Kubuntu as Canonical seem to be on a path away from KDE and I love KDE.

Having some teething problems. trying to add repositories and get the following
add-apt-repository: command not found

Google search talks about
python-software-properties
python3-software-properties
software-properties-common

but these are all installed.

Any ideas what’s missing,
Thanks

JJ

It should be in the package python-software-properties. Maybe it is only accessible via sudo .

Many thanks for this.

python-software-properties was indicated as installed.

So powered by your guidance I reinstalled it and add-apt-repository worked perfectly.

Not sure how this came about - but there you go.

Thanks again,
JJ
