Duplicate entry ca-certificates in database

When trying to update the system, I’m getting the error "error: duplicated database entry ‘ca-certificates’ ". And this makes it impossible to do a proper system update.

Also, I noticed that icons in the panel in both Netrunner Rolling and Standard do not light up when the mouse pointer is over them, unlike in Manjaro and KUbuntu. It would be nice if this behaviour could be retained as well.

Mouse over FX is defined in the themes, so for Netrunner Enlightment theme and some other pre-installed ones, we removed the mouse over FX for clarity which task is currently active even if you mouse over… Try install some other themes from “Get more” and see they work differently…

I tried installing other themes (Oxygen-Genesis is one of them) and it made no difference. On my KUbuntu VM, the highlighting appeared regardless of the theme.

I tried copying the Netrunner Enlightenment theme over to my KUbuntu VM, and the Show Desktop icon still lit up when I moused over it.

Can you try this and report back if this is working:
System Settings -> Desktop Appearance -> Desktop Theme -> Pick AIR.
Over here Air has a mouse over blue light FX, that works fine.
So it is nothing Netrunner has changed, it is theme related (it could be you need to logout and login again for some gfx cards to work).

I am also recieving multiple mozilla certificate errors on the 64 bit rolling when trying to update. Both in Octopi or terminal. Shows 99 updates, downloads the updates but will not complete the upgrade due to the errors. This is with the 64bit rolling final downloaded yesterday. Aside from not being able to update, everything else seems to be working great.

mikej can you run sudo pacman -Syu from the terminal and post the error message please.

This is what I mean by the highlight. The first image is the one with the mouse hovering over the Show Desktop icon. Also, changing to Air and rebooting makes no difference.

This effect was turned off in systemsettings under icons -> advanced just like in the normal Netrunner releases.

sorry, was a misunderstanding then… the icons gamma highlight FX in panel has been disabled, as Leszek said to turn it on it should work… I meant application launcher icons themeing frames.

I ran across the duplicate entry ca-certificates in database for Mozilla as well.
I deleted all of the files listed in the failed entries argument for the ca-certificates and then it updated the system after this.
(You will have to go to the terminal and sudo dolphin) to delete these as root user.

Thanks, I’ve been trying to figure out how to replicate that effect for a while.

As a side note, I already did a manual update of Octopi, hence only 98 packages rather than 99 need to be upgraded.

Delete the conflict files and everything should be good to go.
The same goes for the directory in /var/lib/pacman/local/ca-certifcates-20140223-2

Thank you. After deleting said files the update proceeded normally.

pacman -Syu ca-certificates --force

Works for me

sudo pacman -Rdd ca-certificates
sudo pacman -Syyu
