getting freezes... again

Hey,
After having tried to install Netrunner 13.06 x64 several times - It often failed due to freezing during the installation progress - I finally got in running on my notebook.
But then: during the first update (I used synaptics) - freeze.
Had to poweroff & reboot, fix the updates, started Firefox and browsed Outlook.com - next freeze.
(freeze meaning the system doesn’t respond, displaying the same image and I have to turn off the power)

Do you have any ideas why this keeps happening? I didn’t have any problems with ubuntu 13.04.
I took the recommended Graphics driver for my Nvidia gt220m which worked fine with ubuntu.

I really like the design & ease of use of this distro, don’t want to go back to Mint or Ubuntu :-/

Sounds to me like a kernel issue. What hardware do you have in particular and what kernel is installed ?

(the commands lspci and uname -a might become handy here)

Update:

After running a full update, choosing the most recent nvidia driver (v.3.13, not the recommended 3.10) and a reboot my system is running fine, no more problems.
But still, I’m wondering what caused the installation problems. Hopefully the upgrade to the next release will be smooth.

For the records, the output:

Unfortunately I’m getting these freezes again. The System was running smooth for a few days, I was usually ripping CDs, listening to Music, managing my Photos and browsing the web without any problems.
But recently , when I was watching videos using flash on youtube and other sites with firefox or rekonq, freezes would occur again. Sometimes I can watch a whole video, usually I get a freeze after ~5 mins. REISUB doesn’t help, only poweroff.

I’ve found a bug on launchpad which sounds just like that, it has been fixed in May but does Netrunner also use this fix?
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1175631

hope you can help me

This bug is not fixed yet.
I would suggest installing the proprietary nvidia driver for the time being.
