Installer Not Working

I downloaded the latest Netrunner Rolling and burned it to a DVD. I also put it on a USB
stick. When I try to install, it doesn’t matter which method I choose (I’ve tried three),
then I click “next” and I get the final overview, then I click “next” and the installer just
disapears and closes. I’ve tried 6 times. Three from the disc and three from the USB.

Which ISO do you mean exactly 2015.09 or 2015.11?
Also did you run an update in the live session before opening the installer?

It’s 20115.11 the 64 bit and no I did not update anything. It showed updates available but I didn’t
start any.

OK, good.
What are your system specs?
I’ve had issues with DVD’s myself with Arch based ISO’s
How did you create the USB?

AMD Phenom quad core, 6 gigs ram. I used USB Image Writer

Could you please post the output of inxi -F ?
Also can you try running the installer from the command line to see what if any error your getting when it closes?

$ calamares

[attachment=812]

[attachment=813]

I ran it in command line with su and got
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Are you booting with the free or non-free driver?

When it core dumps could you copy and past the output of the terminal window in a code box?

I’m booting with whatever is default in the iso.

The only thing I see is it looks like you have some fs’s that Calamares isn’t recognizing or that in not formatted correctly.

All of my partitions are formatted with either NTFS or ext4. Every other installer I’ve tried recognizes them.

Thank for the help but I’ve wasted eighteen dollars worth of band width downloading this crap and four hous worth of time trying to install it. I’m over it. I’ll just stick with stuff that works.

I think this error might be in calamares and should be reported upstream (to calamares)
