KDE Partition Manager issues

  1. I can’t label fat32 partitions.
  2. My internal harddrive is shown as sdb and external usb drive as sda
(actually it’s not bug in partition manager but in whole system).

Are dosfstools installed ?

Why should this be a bug ?
/dev/sdX devices are never meant to be tight to one particular order.
One of the reasons uuids where introduced.

Yes

Exactly. UUIDs were introduced BECAUSE of the BUG like this. I remember the times when there were sdx’s in fstab.
Hold on, it was hdx not sdx

I do not understand much about it but it happens to me that although the partition of the internal disc seen in Dolphin (NTFS or FAT32) are not automatically mounted at boot time, this post (which is in Spanish) poured me a lot, not sure if that is the reason for your problem.
