Netrunner Rolling (Manjaro) allows you to have multiple kernels installed, here is a list of currently available kernels:

Linux34 3.4.94 LTS
Linux38 3.8.13.24

Linux311 3.11.10.11
Linux312 3.12.24 LTS
Linux313 3.13.11.4
Linux314 3.14.8 LTS
Linux314 3.15.1

Example: I currently have 3,14 LTS as my back up kernel and 3.15 as my daily use kernel.

Hi AJSlye, I’ve installed Kernel 3.15 but can’t get steam to run. I keep getting the following error:

You are missing the following 32-bit libraries, and Steam may not run:
libnvidia-glcore.so.331.89

any ideas why it won’t work? I’ve installed all the 32 bit libraries I could find and still get the message.

This has nothing to do with the kernel. The binary Nvidia drivers got updated today and has caused this issue. For some reason Steam doesn’t like the Nvidia 331.89 64 bit drivers.

Update: I just looked at the lib32-nvidia-utils package and that file has been removed, I’m not sure why as it was in the previous version and in the upcoming 340.17 version as well.

Thanks to the Manjaro core team member “Rob” here is the fix for this issue:

sudo pacman -U http://www.paradoxcomputers.com.au/manjaro/packages/lib32-nvidia-utils-331.89-1.1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

thanks AJSlye, as usual, you are a legend and also my sincerest thanks to Rob - worked like a charm. Also, I have to add that with the 3.15 kernel and the 339 nvidia driver, everything is smoother and faster
