Mouse and Keyboard unresponsive after installing 13.12

Hi guys,

I tried out 13.06 on a VM and really liked it so I went ahead and tried installing 13.12 on my physical machine.

I loaded the Live DVD and went ahead and installed 13.12 successfully, however after the reboot I reach the log on screen but my mouse and keyboard do not work at all so I cannot log on. The screen resolution at the log on screen is also incorrect as it does not fit the screen like it did on the Live DVD.

Any ideas?

Is the safemode working for you ?
Did the live system worked fine ?

Yes the Live CD worked fine.
