No Audio to headphone jack

Audio does not work through audio output on ASUS X54C.
I can get sound by changing audio connector to headphone and Analog output, but then laptop speakers do not work.
Is there a way to get audio switching to work without me manually changing connector?

Kernel is 3,10 and is using gstreamer backend.

driver: snd_hda_intel
Sound: ALSA v: k3.10.40-1-MANJARO

There is no hotplug support for headphones in KDE at the moment, I’m not sure if this is a bug, a setup issue or just the way KDE handles audio (a feature), but for now you’ll have to go into Audio Setup > Hardware Setup and switch between outputs manually (speakers, headphones, etc.).

The problem is not down to KDE.

I managed to fix this by adding load-module module-switch-on-port-available to /etc/pulse/default.pa.

I can mark this as fixed

Yes you may, thanks for the info.
I just realized you wanted audio coming out of the laptop speakers while the headphone are plugged in, what I was referring to was auto switching to the headphones when plugging them in.
