Rolling-2014.09.01 ".../sbin/init does not exist"

Hi,

Got a problem booting from the Rolling-2014.09.01-1 live DVD ISO in a Virtualbox VM.

Booting bails out soon after starting giving the error:

ERROR: Root device mounted successfully, but /sbin/init does not exist

/sbin/init is a link to busybox. busybox works.
Not that it is important, but I tried with/without nonfree drivers - no luck.

Anybody else see this. Any tips?

Did you check the md5 sum of the iso you downloaded ? Maybe the iso is broken (not correctly or completely downloaded)

If your burning the ISO to a DVD it’s recommended that you burn it at the lowest possible speed.
