(Solved) Login... Fade to Desktop

After login using Netrunner 13.06, I get about 3 seconds of blank screen, a second of light blue, then my desktop wallpaper.
Is there anyway to have login fade smoothly to the desktop as in kubuntu 13.04?

ps. I have the login button already ticked in Desktop Effects/All effects.

I think you need to set a ksplash theme for this to work. You can set this in the system settings. Just search for ksplash there.

That was the problem. KSpalsh was set to none.
Setting it to default solved the problem.
