{SOLVED} Problem with Virtualbox

Hi:

Have a fully up-to-date Rolling install, just trying to use Virtualbox for the first time. Thought I installed it properly from pacman, but probably left something out.

Everything worked normally until I tried to “start” the virtual machine to install the operating system. I got these two messages.

When I tried to follow the directions, the following was the result.

Obviously, I must have done something wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Pete

You don’t need the DKMS package or the kernel headers package.
Here is what you need to do:

First remove the dkms package:

sudo pacman -R virtualbox-host-dkms

Then install the proper virtualbox-host-modules package for your kernel:

sudo paman -S linux316-virtualbox-host-modules

reboot

Thank you! I may have upgraded the kernel after I installed VB. It got by the error, I’ll try installing the OS tomorrow.
