SVM (Sound Volume Management) on X-Fi XtremeGamer FATAL1TY PRO

Hello, this is my first post, so I hope I can explain my dilemma clearly… I was wondering if there is a way to enable SVM (Sound Volume Management) on my sound card, or if there is another solution. The drivers for my sound card in Windows 7 would allow me to enable this option, but I would like to know if this is possible under Linux. This option equalizes the volume levels of various sources, that way you wouldn’t have to keep adjusting the volume.

EDIT: It’s called “Smart Volume Management”… Sorry.

The answer to that would be No, since that is a software feature in the Creative driver suite and not a hardware feature. However, in KDE (as well as with pulse audio) you can select the volume of individual application sources in use right from the volume mixer in the system tray, and for even more control/effects you could try the veromix plasmoid which also allows the use of effects plugins. https://code.google.com/p/veromix-plasmoid/
