Wel, I have never been able to turn on my WiMax with Linux, so I know this is a long shot. I am running NetRunner 14.04, and have tried to add a WiMax connection, but that doesn’t do the trick. My chip, an Intel Centrino 6250 is a dual chip, meaning when WiFi is on, WiMax is not, and vice-versa. I tried downloading the driver from Intel for Linux, but that didn’t really do anything. Does anyone know how to make Linux recognize the chip more accurately so as to turn on the WiMax and use that connection? As it is, I have to logout and log in to my Windows account to get online, as I don’t have WiFi but the Wimax reaches me fine.
