Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies**:
digikam : Depends: digikam-private-libs (= 4:5.3.0-1) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: kipi-plugins (= 4:5.3.0-1) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.[/code]

Installing from Synaptic seems to be worse, as it wants to remove to much and upgrade the system to Stretch.

FYI: Other packages I try to install are broken & refuse to install, due to package management issues in Debian.

Hi, we are working on a new snapshot archive that will have dependency issues fixed.
This should be available this month.
