Editing sources.list in Netrunner

Hi, apologies if I am placing this in the wrong forum but I am very new to netrunner.

I need to edit my /etc/apt/sources.list as I need to add a line to it to install Spotify. In the past with Ubuntu I simply put gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list into the Terminal and I had access. The same with Pear Linux. With netrunner KDE I see a box along the task bar open briefly when entering this in the bash-konsole called “gksudo” and then it closes and nothing happens.

How is this done in Netrunner? I am new to Linux so sorry if it’s a dumb question.

Many Thanks,

Tom

gksudo is a gnome tool. As Netrunner uses kde you have to use the kde equivalent which ic called kdesudo . I would also suggest not adding the lines with a text editor but by running the software sources tools that you can find in the kmenu -> settings .

Ah thank you! Any time I have spent has been with Gnome or Unity so a bit behind KDE wise.

Much appreciated,

Tom
