I ran an update today and now I get an error. :huh:
e:error, pkgproblemresolver::resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages
I have done autoremove, autoclean, clean and even opened synaptic and select, Edit | Fix broken packages and still have the same issue.
Can someone help me here please.

I don’t see an error with the last command. Seems to me everything is fine.
I had testing enabled, but just now disabled it. Reloaded and still get the same message. How to I clear this out?

Why do you want this to change? It is nothing wrong. It only shows there are newer package versions but installing them would break your system. So it is protecting you from destroying your system.
Unfortunately, this remains an issue until the Netrunner backports repo is updated, and becomes compatible with the Debian testing repo.
1 example of several ways to upgrade single packages; Post #26 in “Warning! 5 Dec 2017 upgrade/dist-upgrade issues”.
I also installed the aptitude package which will show package dependency issues and possible solutions to resolve them. Aptitude is useful, but use with caution, because it can break your OS if you force or ignore dependency issues and the like. On one laptop I used this to downgrade all the qt & plasma packages of the Netrunner OS. Now I use the Debain repos only for that OS, and it runs fine, and upgrades nicely.
FYI: any package with “qt” in the name , or depends on “qt” package(s), can not be upgraded until the Netrunner backports repo is updated/corrected.
Seems that updating from an older Netrunner 17.03 release has more issues as shown here from another computer I have installed Netrunner on;
