Firefox 43.0 or 43.0.3

Current Netrunner Firefox version is 43.0, but not 43.0.3 nor 43.0.4.

Normally I wouldn’t care much but I’m experiencing some strange behaviour that never happened before!

Since 43.0.x are security updates - I’m getting really concerned…

I’m switching to Chromium

Did you check the repositories?

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install firefox
Reading package lists… Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information… Done
firefox is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

What does apt-cache policy firefox show you?

Yeah that seems to be correct then.
I thought we had 43.0.3 in the repo.
If you really want the newest version and don’t miss the plasma integration you can see there is also 43.0.4 available.
You can install it with

sudo apt-get install firefox=43.0.4+build3-0ubuntu0.15.10.1

Or use synaptic and choose this version.

Just did - thanks.
Firefox is now 43.0.4 and looks and feels exactly the same like before - I don’t see any difference!
Not sure what “plasma integration” actually means…

Only thing is the OS thinks that firefox is now downgraded and offers me update to 43.0

You should really fix the repo…

That is intended.
The plasma integration offers better xdg mimetype integration aswell as native open and save file dialogs.
