is there a special advice to get the installer running on an intel skylake i7?
On my system the live DVD stops before starting the desktop.

What port are you using (VGA,HDMI,DisplayPort)?
You could try adding this to your grub menu during boot.

This isn’t default since this issue only effects the latest generation of integrated GPU.
