I am now running Kubuntu latest and wanted to play with the rolling version of netrunner (latest)
I was able to flash the debian iso (latest) to usb using “usb-creator-kde” without an issue.
Using that for the rolling version did not work, so I installed Etcher, which flashed just fine but gives only grub at boot.
Any ideas?

Well A, usb-creator-kde is a Ubuntu tool that is designed to only work on their ISO’s.
First, check the ISO’s checksum (Sha256sum) against it first.
I would recommend using dd to write the ISO directly, however etcher should do just fine.
Other than that, you can try blanking the stick first, to be sure there is no residual partitions.
Using a brand new stick is always an option.
