is there a way to show the status of KDE-IM in Systray?
I am not sure but can you enable it in the systray settings ? If it is not there then I guess it isn’t ported yet.

Telepathy was one of the first things that got a port to QT5, both Qt4 and QT5 are supported upstream from KDE but require two different base packages.
We already have this in the Manjaro repositories, however I’m not sure if the telepathy-qt5 (or the Ubuntu equivalent) package has made it into their repositories yet.
There is a libtelepathy-qt5-0 package for Netrunner. But I am not sure how this helps with systray integration. In KDE SC 4.x there was a plasmoid for it. Now it doesn’t seem so and I am not sure how to get the tray icon otherwise.
You should only need the QT part to be changed for the plasmoid to be loaded.

Now this next part isn’t too important but, do you have anything in the repositories named plasma-runner-telepathy-xxx?
PS. I’ll take a look at my Manjaro Plasma install at the KF5 telepathy implementation in a couple of hours (when I get home) just to be sure there are no additional files and/or packages needed. However, I’m pretty sure that was one of the plasmoids included in kdeplasma-addons-frameworks version 5.2.0 package along with the battery monitor, clipboard, notifications, device notifier, etc.

You were right, Anex was using frameworks builds of telepathy (version 0.9.99-1).

Update: It seems that the QT5 / KF5 ported version of KDE Telepathy will be included in the KDE Applications 15.04 release.
