Kernel 12 + KDE 4.12 Final

I tried to update the kernel to the latest stable version like KDE and I have found that running more fluid and the temperature of the disks and cpu are now lower.
To have and install the latest versions only have to do the following:

The version 4.12 is scheduled for December 18 salie this, I am testing the RC (4.11.97) and works very well and placed the kernel 3.12.5 today and have noticed that the hard disk temperatures and the processors are smaller (45 ° to 50 ° on average) relative to the kernel which is in Netrunner 13.12 (3.11.0-14) that put above 63 °

To Install Kernel (3.12.5) on 32-bit systems, open a terminal and downloaded the deb packages:

$ wget -c kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.12.5-trusty/linux-headers-3.12.5-031205_3.12.5-031205.201312120254_all.deb

E install with:

Any tips on installing the the current GIMP 2.8.10?

You have to do the following:
From a terminal add the repository:

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:otto-kesselgulasch/gimp

Then update and install with:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install gimp

I’ve tried several times but it’s showing this error:

Cannot add PPA: ‘“Error reading https://launchpad.net/api/1.0/~otto-kesselgulasch/+archive/gimp: (7, ‘Failed connect to launchpad.net:443; Connection refused’)”’.

I also tried the links in the post about kernel 3.12.5 it also didn’t work. Is there any customisation necessary to download through terminal? I’m connecting through a proxy

I just try everything on a machine recently installed RC2 and it works without problem, no proxy use.
In System Preferences> Network Preferences> Proxy> No Proxy
Must be why I will not let you update.

I installed the kernel 3.12.4, afterwards my screen flicker during boot, any comment?

Me too me especially going on 64, I have not set well with 32. :exclamation:
All Intel.
That is happening to the kernel from 3.10 onwards; just shows the desktop there is a flicker of a second and then is completely normal.

EDIT:
Just install the kernel just 3.13.1rc and start the flash disappeared, I think I corrected that flaw, but in version 3.12.5 and was presenting not only the wifi sometimes not connected.
