Libreoffice - hyphenation and equation editor

My System: Netrunner 18.03

In LibreOffice I choose: File > New > Formula

I enter the markup code for the equation in the lower area (the equation editor) but the line spacing seems to be negative (see attached picture).
Is this a problem of Netrunner or LibreOffice? How can I change the line spacing?

During installation I choose region “Germany” but when I open my LibreOffice documents hyphenation is not working. I solved the problem by installing the package “hyphen-de”.
Is it possible that this package will be automatically installed?

In all honesty I don’t really know. Have you checked the bug tracker or issue board of LibreOffice already?
