login screen

I have a quad monitor setup and the login screen appear on all monitors. How do I configure the login screen to only show on my primary monitor…?

Thanks

That’s a limitation of Xorg that defaults to clone mode by default.
If you want to change it you need to configure your own xorg.conf file where you explicitly set the correct monitor configuration for each monitor you have.

Here is a longer thread about it with some example code:

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I came across this ubuntu bug post: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-greeter/+bug/1082952 I’ll see if I can follow the workarounds suggested.

Solved
My problem were twofolds: 1 xorg and 2 breeze login theme

1:xorg - used latest amd proprietary driver and configured multiple screens
2:breeze login theme - used changes from this git commit https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/123351/diff/3/
