:huh:I’m rather a newbie to Linux. I am having problems with installing apps. Muon just says its downloading, but doesn’t really do it. And Synaptic comes up with this error message. “E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run ‘sudo dpkg --configure -a’ to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.” How do I fix this? I looked in the forums, but didn’t find what anything about this. Hope this was the right forum for this Sorry if it should be another. Any help would be appreciated.
Do as synaptic advises you and run a
sudo dpkg --configure -a
in the terminal as it seems that during package installation the process was killed or interrupted so that it did not successfully installed / configured everything needed on last installation.
