I’m using it via PPA (LibreOffice Fresh : “LibreOffice Packaging” team) with no problems since it’s been released.
Netrunner 14 is based on the Kubuntu 14.04 LTS and is a Long term support release as well. So unless Ubuntu or updates it in their repositories, or Kubuntu adds it into their back ports PPA.
I think you’ll need to use the LibreOffice Fresh PPA for now: https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/ubuntu/ppa
Yes, this is what I did. Works cool.
sudo apt-get purge libreoffice
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-4-4
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libreoffice
Plus adding few packages blending LO with KDE.
Today Netrunner 15 Prometheus had it premier. It has Libre Office 4.4 by default 
Yes, that’s because Netrunner 15 is based on Kubuntu 14.10 which caries only a 3 month support cycle.
Netrunner 14 is based on Kubuntu 14.04 LTS with 5 years of security and bug fix support.
