Hello netrunners,

I’ve installed netrunner for the first time a few minutes ago. I noticed some strange things happening in tty1-5 while the KDM was logging me in (it took a few more seconds than what I’m accustomed to, say 1-2 seconds vs 30 seconds or so). I will be writing about it in another post.

Anyway, This will be my 11th distro to try, I look forward at all the nice KDE tweaking and theming done by the team. I heard netrunner has the best KDE experience out there ? this will be exciting.

Looking forward to learn from you guys.

Yassine.

KDM no longer exists, I think you meant to say SDDM?
SDDM runs as a user, this is probably what you are seeing.
However, a better explanation of what your seeing would be helpful.

Googling it taught me I should disable AER at boot time with pci=noaer, will try on restart and report back.

That’s just a temporary fix though.
You’ll eventually need to figure out which pci express card (or device) is causing the advanced power state issue.
