New User Graphical Display Glitches

I will try to explain my issue…if I open a program like chrome and use it for a while, when I close or minimise chrome there is footprint image of chrome embedded on my desktop which gradually goes away over time…I hope that makes sense…on the desktop I can still see parts of chrome very slightly which gradually fades away…

I have gone into system settings, workspace, configure desktop events, advanced and made the following changes:
OpenGL = 3.1
QT graphics system= Raster

Could some pls point me in the right direction; pc specs listed below…Thxs!

Have you take a look at the other problem threads about this.
Did you check if you are running the failsafe session of KDE Plasma in the login manager ?

Can you check if one particular effect is causing this effect. Maybe the minimize or close effect.

As Leszek implied make sure your not starting up in KDE Workpace (Failsafe Session), this can be changed in the upper left corner of SDDM (Login Manager).

Also Raster is a software rendering engine which can cause all kinds of little issues, like the one you having.

Set your System Settings > Workspace Behavior > Desktop Effects > Advanced to:
Compositing Type: OpenGL 3.1
Qt Graphics Subsystem: Native

Also do this in a terminal window:
sudo mhwd-gpu --setgl mesa
