hi
system info and lshw say to me that i’m using nouveau
i’ve installed nvidia-driver, all works fine, rebooted, but still using nouveau
what i’ve to do to use nvidia-driver 390.67-2?
also, after rebooting, i’ve task manger “reversed”: in monitor 1 it shows process of monitor 2, and viceversa
after reboot the “inverted” issue is solved
still have problem with driver
update to 5.13

In theory installing the nvidia driver should blacklist the nouveau driver and set xorg.conf to use nvidia.
So check if both is happening for you.
Blacklist should be in /etc/modprobe.d/ folder.
Xorg configuration in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ folder.
there is nothning there
i found this thread too: https://forums.netrunner.com/showthread.php?tid=24516
if you prefer, close this thread and i continue there
in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ there is only /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/
in /etc/modprobe.d/ I added blacklist.conf with this content:
blacklist nouveau
options nouveau modeset=0
but still using nouveau
i missed update-initramfs -u, after a reboot X started in 640x480 (with llvm driver i suppose)
so i tried to add nvidia configuration in xorg.conf and in xorg.conf.d, but X doest start at all
removed all, i came back to nouveau

Anything in the log why the nvidia driver did not work?
i’ve installed nvidia-xconfig, it creates this xorg.conf

at reboot, X doesnt start, so i removed it and come back again to nouveau
at reboot, again the problem with “inverted” monitors and processes manager
now i’ve to go, i’ll do some other tests and post results
thanks
from console i tried /etc/init.d/sddm start and it starts without error, but in /var/log/syslog i’ve

The nvidia x11 driver module is missing. Make sure to have the package xserver-xorg-video-nvidia installed
yes, i’ve
ii xserver-xorg-video-nvidia 390.67-2 amd64 NVIDIA binary Xorg driver
i’ve removed ALL packages about nvidia, rebooted and then reinstalled them
now it works
unbelievable
today i power on and it’s using llvmpipe driver
this will me going crazy
later i try reboot
i already have llvmpipe and that worst after reboot video card doesnt work any more
tried 4 times, first 3 times i “simply” power off and power on until it starts again
at 4th try i’ve had to phisically remove it, power on, power off, re-put it insiede my case

Wow that sounds really strange. Are you sure it is not a hardware issue?
I’m having the same issues. Installed the nvidia drivers twice but it’s still
using nouveau. This won’t work. I think Netrunner isn’t quite ready for
prime time.
