Realease File Issues

Hello, I am having issues repairing a Release File that is being ignored during updates. The File at issue relates to SMPlayer. I have looked at the Suse Repo from which the file updates from as well as my file in /etc/hosts, and both are equal. I am at this point unsure of what to do next. Any assistance in resolving this issue is greatly appreciated.

W: Ignoring file ‘home:sm’ in directory ‘/etc/apt/sources.list.d/’ as it has no filename
extension
E: The repository ‘http://plug-mirror-rcac.purdue.edu/opensuse/repositories/home:
/smplayerdevxUbuntu_19.10/Release Release’ does not have a Release file.
W: Updating from such a repository cannot be done securely, and is therefore disabled
by default.
W: See apt-secure (8 )manpage for repository creation and user configuration details

Catting the file home:sm in /etc/apt/sources.list.d shows the following… deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/smplayerdev/xUbuntu_19.10/ /

I added this line in a new /etc/apt/sources.list.d/suse_test.list file and updated packages via sudo apt update and it works fine. Did you maybe forgot the / at the end.
