Running Netrunner on an HP Envy i7?

Does anyone know if Netrunner KDE Debian will run on a:
[color=#2f3337][size=large]HP ENVY x360 15M-BP112DX 15.6" Touch Laptop i7-8550U 1.8GHz 16GB 1TB

I know I had the i5 version of this laptop and could not get Mint to run on it. But I did not try
netrunner.

I’m thinking of getting the i7 version, but I need Linux to run on it. I don’t care for WinBlows.

Since Netrunner is based on a different stack (Debian) now than Mint (Ubuntu LTS), it might be worth trying it.
What was it that failed with Mint?
