[Solved]: Installing clamav

I have installed clamav using octopi.

On running it against a file, I get the following error message.

Does it mean that some dependency package has not been installed? Should I search in the Manjaro package directories for packages named clam? What is the workaround?

You need to download / update the clamav virus database first.

freshclam

Thank you. I did that and it now works as expected.

For the record, before I saw your reply, I went to the Manjaro ClamAV page which although in French, was intelligible enough and quite helpful.

Interesting, I wonder why it’s only in french.
I’ll need to let Rob know about this, maybe we can get this translated.
