Hi,

As long as the support tools for these file systems are not installed you will not be able to modify them.
You should find packages with these support tools in your distribution's package manager.
I have checked that e2fsprogs are indeed installed - they are.
There are three disks - two hard disks and one SSD - all with EXT4. They are work.
Any thouhgts on this,
Thanks,
JJ

Did you start the app with root rights?
So kdesudo partitionmanager?
Started the app with normal user rights and also with root rights.
Makes no difference.

What version of e2fsprogs and ntfs-3g do you have installed (available)?
This was a known bug, I just don’t remember which versions were effected.
Note: Partition manager has since switched to using the new kpmcore backend with version 2.0 instead of having this functionality compiled in.
Many thanks,
e2fsprogs is 1.42.12-1ubuntu2
ntfs-3g is 1:2014.2.15AR.3-3
This seems to be the version from the repos.
However, I downloaded e2fsprogs latest 1.42.13 built this and installed - problem solved.
Many thanks for everyone’s help.

That sounds about right, under Netrunner Rolling (Manjaro) we have:
e2fsprogs - 1.42.13-1
ntfs-3g - 2015.3.14-1
I’m glad to here you were able to get this solved.
