I’ve been using the rolling distribution since June and I love this program! Lately though, the log in has produced an error but surprisingly, it goes on to boot up. Tonight however, it would not proceed to log in after indicating an erroneous pw. The only choice it gives me on the log in screen is to log in as the user. How can I log in as root so I can reset my user pw? Tnx in advance for your help!
It’s never a good Idea to log into the GUI as root, however, you should be able to just move to another tty (ctrl+alt+F2-6), log into root the old fashioned way and change the users password within bash (command line) from there.
