When opening the System Settings program and selecting About System the user is shown a summary of noteworthy information about the system. There are sections for:
Software
Hardware
Graphics
OS
This is quite convenient, but it would be nice to also have a section for Network, and have listed the network card / driver, network address, network speed (optional I suppose but perhaps handy in some cases), and hostname.
I came across this because I was looking for a simple way to change the hostname, but that’s a different story. Perhaps there could be a place for that under the Network Settings section.
Great OS, by the way. I’m running it on two PCs, both of which are around 8 years old and it does just fine. I had to do the tweak suggested from an earlier post on here because of the older Radeon cards but that’s about it.
