Muon is a Qt alternative, that would allow you to get rid of some gtk dependencies.
First, muon was originally a BlueSystems sponsored project.
Second, it is now called discover, and has been adopted upstream as part of plasma 5 itself.
So…why is a GTK package manager (plus dependencies) included–at least in Core, I’m not sure about Desktop, rather that either of the Qt ones?
