System Settings Error Screen after closing out application

When I go into System Settings and change an item, click Apply, then close out the window, I get a Bug Error Window on my desktop. Here is what I obtained from the Developer Tab from that window:

Application: System Settings (systemsettings5), signal: Segmentation fault

Any ideas why this does this ?

Thanks

No idea what’s going wrong here.

But please use quotations for not self written and pasted stuff to not get autobanned and helping us reading the stuff.

For the problem itself which version of systemsettings is this. Does it happen only after applying/calling a specific control module or no matter which one?

System Settings:

Version

KDE Frameworks 5.18.0
Qt 5.5.1 ( built against 5.5.1 )
the xcb windowing system

This occurs when selecting any setting within any module, changing a setting then clicking Apply, then exiting the application. It doesn’t matter if the System Settings is set up as Icon view or Tree View. Never experienced this before. This is a fresh install and has been updated after installation.

This is from KinfoCenter:

Software
KDE Plasma Version: 5.5.4
Qt Version: 5.5.1
Kernel version: 4.2.0-36-generic

Hardware
Processors: 4xAMD Phenom™ 9750 Quad-Core Preocessor
Memory: 7.6 GB of Ram

Thanks

Does this also happen when you launch a module separately with kcmshell5?

You can get the list of available module names with the command “kcmshell5 --list” and you launch it with “kcmshell5 modulename”. Does that work or does it also crash - and maybe give some additional information in konsole?
