Just wanted to say thank you and good job to the netrunner team. Over the past couple of weeks I have been installing and trying all kinds of linux distros. Red Hat/Fedora, Deb/Ubuntu, and Arch Linux based distros with the Plasma 5 desktop environment. I have tried both Netrunner 16 and now Netrunner Rolling. IMO Netrunner Rolling has been the best out of box Plasma 5 distro. I prefer the Arch base over the Ubuntu base.
Great Job on your setup of Plasma 5. It only took me about 10 mins to tweak the plasma desktop to my personal liking. I am now only using Windows to play games not suported by Linux and watch Netflix. I have moved all my other stuff over to Netrunner Rolling.
We appreciate all the kind words, and would like to welcome you to the community.
I don’t know much about gaming, or what’s is or isn’t available in steam under Linux. However, I do know that Netflix is supported natively under Linux via the Google Chrome browser, and is very easy to set up. All you need to do is to install google-chrome from the AUR and log into the Netflix website.
If you ever have any issue at all please don’t hesitate to post them in the Rolling sections of this forum, and or the Manjaro forums. There is also the Arch and Manjaro wiki’s that can be very helpful and informative.
I’d like to say that I’ve been running NetRunner 17 for a while now and love it. Very well done. I’m now split between two camps. Kubuntu and NetRunner.
