USB 3.0 mailfunction

So my usb 3.0 died randomly.:dodgy:. I can’t find out why. Sometimes it works for days sometimes it dead after few second of work. Also I’ve found that it works longer if I do not use a usb hub, but anyway can die too. Is this a driver bug? Motherboard was replaced on new one and I have the same issue. :s

With usb 2.0 everthing is fine.
Any suggestions?

I’ve made little investigation. It actually common problem for my controller

04:00.0 USB controller: ASMedia Technology Inc. ASM1042 SuperSpeed USB Host Controller

:s

I’ve found couple “solutions”, but not sure how it works.
I found a reference to adding the line

blacklist uas

to file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

Is this should be in the same file for netrunner? Or better use custom one? And what exactly do uas module?
Second one related to usb suspend mode. I suppose it should be in udev config? Where exactly will be proper place for it?

ACTION=="add", SUBSYSTEM=="usb", TEST=="power/autosuspend" ATTR{power/autosuspend}="0"

A module is a kernel device driver, by blacklisting it your telling the system not to load it, this is not the always the best solution, but yes that file would be the best place to add that line if your going to use that solution. The second option looks to be your best choice, the udev configuration files are placed in /etc/udev/ and /lib/udev/.

Hope this helps.
