Hello
I installed Netrunner 19.01.
For my desktop computer i use Tp-Link 300 Mbps wireless N USB Adapter TL-WN821N.
The system detects the stick but can’t build a connection.
My Notebook with integrated Wifi works with Netrunner. So it must be a driver Problem.
Can someone tell me which package I have to install for tp-Link?
Thank You.
Had a hard time with drivers too. This worked for me for the past 2-3 years (adapter not found problem):
sudo modprobe -r b43 ssb brcmfmac brcmsmac bcma
Adapter is recognized and I can connect but wi-fi drops and slowdowns.
To fix it, go under Configure Network Connection > Wi-Fi and set MTU around 1000 bytes, or experiment with other values.
What version of the TL-WN821N do you have?
This will tell us what chipset it’s using, Atheros or Realtek
@deck,
I’m not aware of any Broadcom based TL-WN821N’s.
It’s the Atheros version
There is more than one chipset used on different versions.
I would need the actual version number from the underside.
Version 1+2 are no longer sold, or supported, but version 3 - 6 are.

it’s the version 4.2
