Im actually happy with X11 presently but will Netrunner eventually also offer Wayland, as Debian already does.
“Plasma/Wayland has been the default since Debian 12/bookworm. In graphical login-manager like SDDM you can select Plasma/X11 if desired.” Also here:
Was already aware that Wayland was default with Debian previously but at my first entry into Netrunner I saw no option for switching to Wayland initially. There are distros that dont use Wayland even though they are based ob Debian 12. Thanks
I rechecked at login screen in Netrunner 25 and there is no option to switch into a Wayland session as I mentioned originally. Most of my other distros have the option available at login. X11 is being used at this time.
At present, there’s no decision regarding using Wayland. We’ll evaluate it in the coming months after Debian 13 is released.
