I have noticed that several EXE programs I have downloaded seem to install just fine under wine,
though when I go into the wine programs menu and click on the program, nothing ever happens.
Anyone have any clue as to why this might be?
Are you sure that the programs you wanted to install are compatible with wine. Had a look at winehq appdatabase?
Check the “Is executable” in " Permissions" of the program you want to run.
No, I’m not. But there are a few that I am SURE would not be on that list that work just fine. I figured if they installed fine and are listed in the menu, they should run. (Guess not)
