X-crashes after update.

Hi all,

I use netrunner for a short while now, and so far quit happy with it.
But a couple of days ago , I dicided to do an upgrade ( I activated debian testing repo)
Now I got a lot off errors related to breeze and gstreamer and couldn’t fix errors with
apt-get -f install or aptitude.
I disabled debian testing repo again , apt-get update,
removed some packages and totally reinstalled plasma-desktop,
Now all errors are resolved , but still when I want to login,
X crashes with error popup;

ksmserver PID:13377 Signal: Segmentation fault (11)

I also noticed I do not have a xorg,conig file in /etc/X11

what can I do to resolve this?

We had a similiar problem already and I think solution here might help you if you anyhow can get access to the systems synaptic packagemanager http://forums.netrunner.com/showthread.php?tid=24314&pid=40471#pid40471

This is a change from couple of years ago. Xorg auto generates it’s config internally. However you can use the /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d directory to store individual sections of the old xorg.conf if you still wish to do changes to the default detected config.
