Yellow Octopi - Outdated package.

Couple of questions as learning as I go. I assume this is fine about manually removing?
Why are outdated not automatically removed?
Why is a BSD-Finger in my Linux Soup and why do I have it on my system?

Any insights or info is always appreciated! Thanks!

That’s an AUR package, so it won’t get updated, removed or downgraded with the normal update procedure that’s why it has the yellow ghost instead of a red one.
Red = Repository packages
Yellow = AUR packages

It was more than likely pulled in with some other application you installed from the AUR. The bsd part is just where that particular netkit utility was ported from. If you have an application installed that still requires it then I’d suggest updating it, otherwise it is safe to remove.
